On Season 6 Episode 2 of popular Run’s House that airs on MTV, Reverend Run and his wife decide its time to baby proof their home for their little girl, Miley. At this age, toddlers are most curious. It is natural for them to want to imitate what they see, “help”, and learn from their environment. All of these things are great and you want to promote it. At the same time you want to make sure your child(ren) are in a safe enviornment.
Rev. Run attempted to baby proof the house himself. He was immediately overwhelmed at the store when he saw the great wall of products. He delegated the installation work to his teenage son whom was not too familiar with the drill. Installing baby proofing products should be taken seriously. This is for the SAFETY of your toddler.
By the end of the show he decided to hire a professional baby proofer. There is more than meets the eye with installing products. Save your time, money and energy the first time. Hire a professional baby Proofer who can provide you with the right type of product and has all the equipment to install.
The first thing is to lower the crib mattress. Also remove the bumper and any toys that could be used as a booster. If your child is inspired, they will use anything to get out of their crib. If adjusting the crib and removing access articles doesn’t work, here are a couple of other suggestions:
~ Crib Tent: It’s a removable attachment that keeps children from climbing out of their crib.
~ Toddler Size Bed with side rails: This will not keep them from knocking on your bedside in the middle of the night at first; but it will keep them from injuring themselves. Overtime, your toddler will get use to their new sleeping arrangements and it will be peaceful sleeping again.
